Breaking : NHL head coach has been relieved of his functions
X

Breaking news this morning as long time head coach Ken Hitchcock has been relieved of his coaching duties. Hitchcock's been hired by the St-Louis Blues on Nov. 8, 2011. Even before the season started, we knew it was his last season as Mike Yeo was already around the team to eventually take the lead of the the St-Louis Blues on the upcoming season. Things went a little faster as Hitchcock has already been fired this morning and Yeo will take the vacant seat left by Hitchcock.

As Chris Pinkert pictures it "The decision comes as the Blues have lost five of their last six games and finished 5-8 during the month of January. With a 5-3 loss to the Winnipeg Jets at home on Tuesday night, the Blues find themselves in the final Wild Card position in the Western Conference."
