Extremely dangerous play.
The National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety has made a decision on Jordin Tootoo's slew foot.
The league has announced a fine of $2,217.74 for the New Jersey Devils player as a result of his actions in New Jersey's most recent match up against the Nashville Predators.
Tootoo's slew foot occurred in the corner and while some have argued that he was off balance, from one of the angle's in the video below it does look like he deliberately swings his leg to sweep Jones off his feet.
An extremely dangerous play, and a well deserved fine.
