A National Hockey League owner is furious with Sidney Crosby and the NHL, and it's not hard to see why.
Ottawa Senators owner Eugene Melnyk sat and watched while one of his best defensemen was knocked out of the lineup last night after a brutal slash from the Penguins captain nearly hacked off the tip of Marc Methot's finger.
Here's what he had to say about this morning on TSN radio:
"You do anything that's almost a certain injury, and I think the only way to do it is you wipe the guy off the map."
"Not one or two games, ten, how about a season for a few of these guys?"
The NHL may or may not be considering suspending Crosby at this point, but based on the laguage used by Melnyk, it sounds like if they don't he may settle the score the old fashion way.
"He took my guy, I take your guy, and that's my attitude"
More to come on this to be sure.
