The NHL has yet to proceed with a hearing with Radko Gudas for his malicious slash on Winnipeg Jets forward Mathieu Perreault on Thursday.
Gudas was offered an in-person hearing, which typically means a long suspension is imminent. The rugged defenseman declined the hearing and will instead do it over the phone.
The hearing was pushed for Sunday, but with the Flyers playing Saturday afternoon against the Calgary Flames, the league had to make a ruling on his eligibility to play the game.
If there was any doubt that he'd be suspended, it's all but erased. Many believe the suspension will exceed 10 games.
What say you?
