Breaking: NHL rules on suspension status for McQuaid after big hit

Wednesday night, the Boston Bruins took on the Colorado Avalanche, and came out on the losing end of a 6-3 tilt.

There was cause for concern when Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid took out Tyson Jost with a questionable hit while chasing for the puck by the boards.

Fan reactions weren't all too great following the hit.

Jost couldn't put any weight on his leg following the incident, but fortunately for him he was able to make a return to the game, and seal the game with an empty-netter.

Ultimately, the NHL decided not to give McQuaid a hearing for the hit.
