Suspension announced for nasty sucker punch.
The National Hockey League's Deparment of Player Safety has announced a suspension.
On Saturday night San Jose Sharks forward Micheal Haley delivered a big time sucker punch to the face of Nasvhille Predators forward Calle Jarnkrok. While Haley was awarded a match penalty for the dirty deed, the league has decided supplemental discipline was in order.
As a result Haley has been suspended for one additional game for what NHL Player Safety is calling roughing. You can listen to a full breakdown of their decision making process in the video below courtesy of the NHL.
