Two National Hockey League team's have made a trade, one that suggest at least one of these teams is looking to make another move.

Here is the official announcement from the Florida Panthers who have just confirmed the deal:

Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations Dale Tallon announced today that the Panthers have acquired forwards Paul Thompson and Graham Black from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for Florida's 2018 second round pick and Marc Savard.

This is appears to be purely a money deal, with Florida shedding Savard's contract that comes with a cap hit of roughly $4 million dollars while taking on just roughly $1.3 million in return. For the price of making room, by trading the contract of a player who hasn't played since the 2010-2011 season, the Panther's have given up their second round pick in 2018.

This would indicate that Florida intends to use that cap space to make another move.
