This looks like yet another very solid move from Philadelphia Flyers' general manager Ron Hextall.

While the terms of the deal have not been disclosed by the Flyers, the team has put out an official press release indicating that they have signed defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere to a new, multi-year deal.

The move comes early in Gostisbehere's career, however given his dominant performance in his rookie season, as well as the fact that he has averaged over 40 points from the blue line in his first two seasons, it's easy to see why the Flyers moved quickly on this one.

In an interesting move the Flyers have refused to provide any details on this contract, but in regards to the length of the contract as well as any financial details. So there is at least for now a shroud of mystery around this announcement.

Stay tuned for an update on the term and money involved in this deal.
