Breaking: NHL team takes a gamble on Jarret Stoll after drug arrest.
It was clear that Jarret Stoll would not be coming back to Los Angeles after he was arrested for drug possession during the offseason.
Once the Kings made it clear that Stoll would not be coming back the question then became which team would be willing to take a gamble on Stoll after he pled guilty to two reduce misdemeanor charges following the arrest.
We now have an answer, the New York Rangers have signed Stoll to a one year deal worth a reported $800,000, the Rangers confirmed the signing via their twitter feed.
Stoll is coming off arguably the worst season of his NHL career, one that saw him record 6 goals and 11 assistsi n 73 games as a member of the Kings last season, however at $800,00 dollars this has to be considered a discount deal for New York.
