James Sheppard is staying in Europe but is leaving Switzerland. According to SwissHockeyNews Sheppard is leaving the Kloten Flyers to play for Eisbären Berlin in the DEL.

Sheppard can be considered an NHL veteran playing in 394 NHL games. He spent time with the Minnesota Wild and the San Jose SharkS. The 29 year old from Halifax, Nova Scotia was drafted 9th overall by the Wild in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
