Marchand once again in the sights of the NHL.
One of the National Hockey League's most infamous players has landed himself in hot water again.
On Wednesday the NHL's Department of Player Safety announced that Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand would have an in-person hearing for what they are calling a trip on Detroit Red Wings veteran defenseman Niklas Kronwall.
The incident occurred in the first period of the Tuesday night game between the Wings and Bruins, and was a completely unnecessary and rather blatant cheap shot from Marchand on a veteran who had just returned from a knee injury.
Marchand has a history of these incidents and it seems likely that the NHL will give him some games off as he is a repeat offender.
