Breaking: Oilers make five cuts in training camp
Who’s going home and who made it through?
HockeyFeed
The Edmonton Oilers have announced their first round of cuts from training. Heading back to their respective CHL teams for the 2017-18 season are the following five players:
Kirill Maksimov - Niagara IceDogs (OHL)
Ostap Safin - St. John (QMJHL)
Dmitri Samorukov - Guelph Storm (OHL)
Stuart Skinner - Lethbridge Hurricanes (WHL)
Dylan Wells - Peterborough Petes (OHL)
No real surprises here, as none of these players were really expected to push for spots on the Oilers and given they’re age they’re ineligible to play this season in the AHL. Better luck next time, boys!
