Breaking: Once promising forward on waivers for the second time this season!
Keystone Press

When the Detroit Red Wings placed forward Teemu Pulkkinen on waivers many were surprised, and when his former head coach Mike Babcock passed on him in Toronto, allowing the Minnesota Wild to claim him, many more were surprised, but now comes the biggest surprise of all.

According to a  report from TSN's James Mirtle, the Minnesota Wild have once again placed Pulkkinen on waivers, making this the second time the young forward has been wave less than 10 games into the regular season, not a good sign by any stretch of the imagination.

While at the start of the season we would have argued that Pulkinnen would certainly be picked on waivers, the decision by the Wild to put him back on the waiver wire after just eight games is an indication that he isn't living up to expectations, and that could seriously damage his stock with other NHL general managers.

That being said he did show some promise during his time in Detroit, so there may still be a team willing to take a gamble on him.
