The Boston Bruins are playing the Buffalo Sabres in a game that is slowly turning out as a gong show. Sabres' William Carrier leveled David Backes with a late hit (what appeared) to the head.

Backes stayed on the ice for a few seconds while Kevan Miller rushed to Carrier but the refs interfered. 


The Buffalo forward was called a 2-minute minor on the play for illegal check to the head.
