Breaking: Ovechkin breaks a NHL record held by Jaromir Jagr!

It's pretty incredible to think that a player today can overtake any one of Jaromir Jagr's numerous records that he set throughout his historical career.

Alex Ovechkin did just that in Friday night's overtime win against the Detroit Red Wings.

Call him 'Captain Clutch', because scoring the overtime winner 20 times in a career is an absolutely incredible feat.

It took the Washington Capitals' superstar 11 fewer seasons to break the record.

Ovechkin already has 10 goals in a mere 8 games, and looks to be on track to have one of his highest scoring seasons of his career at age 32.

Talk about a rebirth.
