Breaking: Pens call up defenseman from AHL
Keystone Press

The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced that they’ve recalled defenseman Zach Trotman from the AHL’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

The 27-year-old blue liner has played four games for the WBS Penguins this season, picking up one assist along the way. He also suited up for three preseason games for the Penguins last month, earning one assist in those games, as well.

The 6’3”, 215 lb native of Indiana has played 67 career games with the Boston Bruins, scoring three goals and 12 points.

It’s unclear where exactly Trotman will slot into the team’s lineup, but look for the veteran to add some much needed depth on the team’s blue line.
