Breaking: Predators give the Habs the ultimate slap in the face over the Subban trade!

Wow this is absolutely incredible!

The story surrounding the trade of defenseman P.K. Subban for defenseman Shea Weber now has a new chapter, and honestly it's amazing.

As some of our readers may know, at the time of the trade an analyst named Matt Pfeffer made an impassioned plea to general manager Marc Bergevin in the hopes of convincing Bergevin not to trade Subban, and not only was he ignored but he was subsequently fired by the Canadiens.

While it was never officially stated that Pfeffer was fired over the Subban trade, the timing of the move was far too large a coincidence to convince anyone that this wasn't exactly the case.

Well now it turns out Pfeffer has got a brand new job, with a brand new National Hockey League team, and while there was no major announcement Pfeffer is now a member of none other than the Nashville Predators.

It seems that Predators general manager David Poile felt the case made by Pfeffer to keep Subban was a good one, unsurprising considering that not only did Poile trade for Subban, but also saw his team go to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in franchise history.

You know that deep down this has to feel like vindication for Pfeffer.
