The Nashville Predators may be trying to steal the show for the second consecutive offseason.

As most fans will know, last summer the Predators shocked the hockey world when they made the decision to trade defenseman Shea Weber, who was  their captain at the time of the trade, in exchange for Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban.

This time, it sounds like Nashville Predators general manager David Poile is once again looking to make a blockbuster trade but it won't be for a defenseman, this time he's targeting a star forward.

TSN insider Darren Dreger is reporting that the Predators are "definitely interested" in Colorado Avalanche forward Matt Duchene, and needless to say his addition to a team that made the Cup Final would be monstrous.

Dreger is also reporting that the Predators are not prepared to give up one of their highly coveted defensemen in the deal, so it will be interesting to see who Poile offers up to get Duchene from the Avalanche.
