Breaking: Predators officially announce their new captain!

It is now official. The Nashville Predators have announced their new captain. 

Defenseman Roman Josi has accepted the responsabilities and will wear the 'C' on his jersey. 

Josi was named the eighth captain in Nashville Predators franchise history on Tuesday, assuming the role from Mike Fisher, who retired during the offseason.

Defenseman Ryan Ellis has been named as the team's associate captain, while Ryan Johansen, Filip Forsberg and Mattias Ekholm will all serve as alternate captains.

Goalie Pekka Rinne, blue liner P.K. Siubban and forward Nick Bonino will provide a leadership boost as well.
