The Nashville Predators have announced this morning that two players will report to their AHL affiliate in Milwaukee effective immediately.
Frederick Gaudreau made a name for himself in the NHL during the Stanley Cup finals against the Pittsburgh Penguins, but hasn't been as visible in the early goings of the 2017-18 season - he has 2 assists to his name in 10 games.
As for Pontus Aberg, the fact that he's going to the AHL on a conditioning stint signals that he's been dealing with an injury and needs a bit of time to return to form.
Aberg has suited up for 9 games this season and also only has 2 assists.
The demotion of these two players suggests that Nick Bonino may be ready to be activated off injured reserve.
