We have some big new about arguably the top prospect in the National Hockey League Entry Draft set to take place just a few short weeks from today.

NHL beat writer for The Record Andrew Gross has just reported that Nolan Patrick, the projected #1 overall pick in the draft has revealed two major injuries, both of them being sports hernias.

According to Gross one of the hernias is on the left side, while the other is on the right side, and thus far only one has been diagnosed and has resulted in Patrick having surgery.

Furthermore it is believed that the second injury has healed normally over time and will not require surgery, but one has to wonder how this will impact his status at the NHL draft.
