The New York Rangers announced they have sent top prospect Sean Day to the Windsor Spitfires of the OHL on Sunday.
Day, 19, was drafted 81st overall by the Rangers in 2016. He spent four seasons in the OHL (he played at 15 because he was granted of the exceptional player status). In 241 games played with Missisauga and Windsor, the defenseman registered 111 total points. He added nine points in 18 playoff games. He won the Memorial Cup with Windsor last season.
