The New York Rangers have announced that the team has loaned forward Filip Chytil to the Czech team for the upcoming World Juniors tournament in Buffalo, on Wednesday.

There was a scare earlier last week when the 18-year-old suffered a cervical strain in a game against the Toronto Marlies.

The 21st-overall selection in last June’s Entry Draft, who played in two games of the season for the Rangers after unexpectedly earning a lineup spot with a head-turning training camp, has recorded five goals and 12 points in 15 AHL games.
