Breaking: Rask given terrible news

The WORST possible news for Boston has been confirmed.

After the announcement this afternoon that Boston Bruins star netminder Tuukka Rask would miss action tonight against the Vancouver Canucks, it was just reported that the injury suffered was a concussion.

The injury happened in practice, when rookie Anders Bjork collided with Rask.

There is no timetable for his return.

Anton Khudobin will start tonight - with Zane McIntyre backing him up. McIntyre was recalled from the team's AHL affiliate in Providence.

Rask only has 1 win in 4 games played thus far, but it cannot be debated that depth between the pipes is thin beyond him. His 37-20-5 record in 2016-17 propelled the Bruins into the playoffs. They'll be counting on his steady play when he returns to help get them back to the big show.
