The Minnesota Wild gave up three big draft picks in order to acquire both Martin Hanzal as well as Ryan White from the Coyotes organization but now it looks like their investment may be hurt.

Wild insider Mike Russo of the Star Tribune is reporting that Hanzal took a slash to the hand from forward Jonathan Marchessault during tonight's game between the Wild and Florida Panthers.

The Wild gave up a a first round pick, a second round pick, and a conditional pick that can also become a second to acquire Hanzal, needless to say any significant damage from the Slash would be a huge blow to the team.

We haven't been able to get out hands on video replay of the incident just yet, but we will bring it to you as soon as possible.

Update: Here is a low-quality look at the slash, it looks like a pretty good hack.

Update: Hanzal back out the ice, crisis averted.
