Breaking: Red Wings have reportedly signed a Stanley Cup Champion.

The Detroit Red Wings had one name at the top of their free-agent list and it sounds like they have successfully acquired that particular free agent. 

While there have been rumors for several days now, TSN insider Bob McKenzied has just reported that veteran defenseman and Stanley Cup Champion Trevor Daley is expected to become the newest member of the Detroit Red Wings.

While nothing will be set in stone until noon on Saturday, McKenzie is arguably the best source in hockey and if he says Trevor Daley is going to Detroit we are perfectly comfortable taking his word for it. 

That being said in a situation like this anything can change, however baring any last minute offers we expect that Trevor Daley will be a Red Wing.
