Bad news, Detroit Red Wings fans.

The team has announced that both Justin Abdelkader and Darren Helm will likely miss tomorrow's game against the Chicago Blackhawks because of injuries they suffered this afternoon, in a 4-1 loss against the Pittsburgh Penguins

Both men suffered lower-body injuries. In Helm's case, it definitely looks like a right leg injury, when he collided with Pittburgh's 20-year-old winger Daniel Sprong:

Head coach Jeff Blashill confirmed that both Abdelkader, who scored the lone goal for Detroit today, and Helm won't play against the Hawks:

Bashill also mentioned that the team will only call up one player instead of two, and has yet to announce who the lucky guy will be:

Abdelkader, who's going to turn 31 on February 27, has eight goals and 13 assists for 21 points in 41 games this year. Helm has been a bit less successfull with 13 points in just as many games.
