Breaking: Roberto Luongo takes a shot at his own team!

There's almost no debate, Florida Panthers goaltender Roberto Luongo has the very best sense of humor in the sport of hockey and on Monday he once again demonstrated that fact. 

With all the hype around the solar eclipse Luongo used the opportunity to take a shot at both his own team and himself, and not only did the statement have a ring of truth to it, but it was also hilarious. 

As most hockey fans will know the Panthers are coming off a rather dysfunctional season both on the ice and in the front office, and with that in mind Luongo poked a little fun at the Panthers with some solar eclipse humor.

"I just burned my retina looking at game film from last year #solareclipse," wrote the veteran goalie on social media.

This ladies and gentleman is why Luongo remains a fan favorite, and why he likely will be relevant long after his on-ice career comes to an end.
