Breaking: Rumored trade between the Wild and the Oilers.

A quick little update here.

According to the top Minnesota Wild insider, the Star Tribune's Mike Russo, the Wild and the Edmonton Oilers are currently working on a trade with both teams believing the other can help it fill a position of need.

Russo believes that Minnesota is targeting Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins who has on several occasions been the subject of trade speculation, while Edmonton is hoping to acquire a young defenseman from Minnesota in exchange, Russo cites Matt Dumba or Jonas Brodin.

Obviously on a night like tonight everything is subject to change, but Russo is not prone to hyperbole and this rumor should be taken seriously.
