Breaking: Rumors of a massive contract will make 20-year-old one of the richest NHLers.

There are rumors of a huge contract coming down the pipeline, although nothing is official yet. 

Despite the fact that we have been hearing that both the Buffalo Sabres and star forward Jack Eichel have tabled contract negotiations until the end of the season, Kathryn Tappen‏ of NBC Sports is now reporting that a deal will soon be announced. 

The contract could make Eichel of the richest men in the entire National Hockey League as rumors earlier this summer indicated that he was demanding as much as $10 million per season in average annual value. 

While the $10 million alone wouldn't make it a particularly large contract, Tappen is reporting that this will be a "long-term deal" which leads us to believe that it could be a max term deal of 8 years. 

Needless to say an $80 million dollar contract would be one of the largest in the league.
