Breaking: Sens' Wideman out “multiple weeks” after suffering brutal injury

The Ottawa Senators will be without one of their young depth players for an extended period of time after suffering a brutal injury on Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Boucher: Chris Wideman has a "ripped" hamstring. He's out for weeks. A D-man will be called up. Condon starts in goal tomorrow.

Chris Wideman was switched to forward after excelling at it back in Sweden against the Colorado Avalanche. It sure looks like if he was playing his natural position on Thursday night, this injury probably would've been avoided.

Talk about bad luck.
