Breaking: Sens will be playing without one IMPORTANT player tomorrow

As the Ottawa Senators prepare for their second round playoff matchup against the New York Rangers, they do so with the knowledge that defenseman Mark Borowiecki will be out of the team’s lineup.

Postmedia Sun columnist Bruce Garrioch reported earlier today that the 27 year-old Ottawa native is still out with a lower-body injury and the news was confirmed by the Senators shortly after.

In just two playoff games this season, Borowiecki has failed to register a point but he does provide the Senators with some much needed size and muscle on the back end. In 70 regular season games this year, the hulking blue liner compiled 154 minutes.
