A very bad sign for the San Jose Sharks.

The San Jose Sharks are down two games to the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Stanley Cup Final, and the last thing they needed was a major injury. Unfortunately for the Sharks, it appears based on today's skate that is exactly the case.

While no official announcement has been made, according to multiple reports Sharks forward Tomas Hertl left the skate early, after skating without his full gear to begin with, and headed back to the locker room. Speculation is the massive hit he took in Game 2 has taken it's toll on his body, and he will be forced out of Game 3.

Additionally Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe has reported that Melker Karlsson took Herl's spot alongside Joe Thornton and Joe Pavelski during practice this morning, another sign that he is indeed sidelined for Game 3.

We do not expect any official announcement will come before the Sharks hit the ice tomorrow.
