BREAKING: SHOCKING news regarding NHL TOP insiders
It is a very sad day for all the NHL insiders who lost their jobs today.
As reported by CNN, ESPN plans to lay off 100 on-air personalities and writers, a source tells CNN.
“These decisions impact talented people who have done great work for our company,” he wrote. “I would like to thank all of them for their efforts and their many contributions to ESPN." Said ESPN President.
Among them, Pierre LeBrun, Joe McDonald and Scott Burnside and many other great journalists won’t be covering their respective sports. All our thoughts and prayers are with these guys, their families, their friends and their colleagues.
Here are a few tweets from great insider, beat writer and sports journalists that find themselves without a job this morning:
“Well, folks, as you can tell by my new Twitter handle, I was also among the cuts today at ESPN.”
“After 13 years of sticks and pucks can share that as of today my tenure at ESPN is at a close. I look forward to the next adventure.”
“After nearly eight years of covering the NHL, MLB and the NFL at ESPN, it’s time for the next chapter in my career.”
