Breaking: Shocking statement from ESPN insider on potential Ovechkin trade!

There have been rumblings about a potential trade of Washington Capitals superstar forward Alex Ovechkin since the Capitals were eliminated by the Pittsburgh Penguins, but nothing really solid has come from any of those rumors.

Now however one ESPN insider has made an extremely bold statement on social media regarding the potential trade of the Capitals captain, one that appears to indicate he believes it will happen.

"If I was FORCED to bet a paycheck on whether Alex Ovechkin will be traded this summer, my bet would be yes. I believe the Caps will try hard," said ESPN insider John Buccigross.

There's no doubt that Buccigross' prediction will be rubbed in his face should he prove to be wrong, so it takes a level of courage to go out on a limb like this especially when you consider a great many hockey fans have a special kind of disdain for ESPN as a whole. 

However if it turns out he was right all along, we may be asking him for the lottery numbers the following week.
