The National Hockey League Player Safety department has announced that three star players are fined for unsportsmanlike conduct during one last night’s games.
Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos, forward Alex Killorn and New York Rangers' Kevin Hayes have been $5,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct.
According to NHL insider Darren Dreger, Stamkos is said to have squirted water from the bench during the game. He was caught spraying water at the Rangers' bench - and it's unclear who he hit. Some saw the water hit a ref, others saw it hit a player on the bench.
The fines were all dolled out based on an incident during the game that appeared to show Hayes squirting wate at Killorn.
