Breaking: Stanley Cup Champion defenseman is leaving the Penguins.

Big loss for Pittsburgh.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are about to lose a core member of their Stanley Cup Championship squad, and one team is about to add a Stanley Cup Champion to their roster.

Penguins beat writer Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh-Post Gazette is now reporting that defenseman Trevor Daley has narrowed his list of team down to just two or three candidates.

Unfortunately for the Penguins, Mackey is reporting that the Penguins are not one of the teams on that list, and naturally as a result that means Daley is expected to sign with a new team this summer.

Nothing will be official until the 1st of July, but Mackey is a very solid reporter, and we have no doubt that this report is accurate.
