New York Post reporter Larry Brooks is reporting that the New York Rangers have signed former Chicago Blackhawks and San Jose Sharks forward Andrew Desjardins to a professional tryout (PTO) contract.

The 31-year-old has played over 400 games in the NHL and most recently spent three season with the Blackhawks where he was a major part of their most recent Stanley Cup championship in 2015. The 6’1”, 195 lb center is expected to battle with fellow centerman David Desharnais for a spot on the team’s fourth line in training camp.
