Florida Panthers’ forward Jonathan Huberdeau left the game on Saturday night after taking a skate to the leg.

New Jersey Devils’ Sergey Kalinin got tangled up on a play behind the net with Huberdeau, and the former’s skate came dropping down on the latter’s left leg.

There are concerns that Huberdeau’s Achilles tendon might be severed, which could signify an exceptionally lengthy recovery of close to half a year. He will undergo an MRI tomorrow.
