There are some big rumors regarding Dion Phaneuf and his time with the Ottawa Senators. According to many reports from different insiders, it’s a well-known fact that Phaneuf has been asked. However it appears that Phaneuf has not yet made a decision on whether or not he will be waiving.

Early report from Bruce Garrioch (Ottawa-based TSN contributor) led to believe Cody Ceci has been informed he will be protected. That means either Phaneuf or Methot could be on the move.

If Phaneuf is on the move, remember he has a 12-team lists he is willing to go. Among that list, 3 teams are reportedly known: The Montreal Canadiens, The Edmonton Oilers and the L.A. Kings appears to be a possible destination for Phaneuf. Also to keep in mind, doesn’t mean those teams are interested or not in Phaneuf’s services.
