After losing Jimmy Howard to injury last week, the Detroit Red Wings have counted on Petr Mrazek to lead the way throughout these past few games. After standing tall yet losing by a score of 2-1 last Thursday in overtime, Mrazek will benefit from a small break after stopping 28 of the 30 shots he faced, many spectacularly.

The organization called up Jared Coreau of the Grand Rapids Griffins, and he will get his National Hockey League debut against the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight at 7:00pm ET:

Coreau, who many touted to be the assured backup goaltender this season to Mrazek, has an 8-5 record and boasts a .923 save percentage and 2.39 goals-against average this season with the Griffins.
