Breaking: Talbot gets a chance to get his head back in the game

Netminder Laurent Brossoit will make his first start of the 2017-18 campaign in Tuesday's clash with the Carolina Hurricanes, Ryan Rishaug of TSN reports.

Brossoit has played twice in relief of the struggling Cam Talbot this season. He performed well in the first, but however poorly in the second substitute appearances. 

The 24-year-old's start could give the Talbot a chance to rest up and get his head back in the game. 

It was also reported that defenseman Matt Benning will not be in the lineup tonight. He is out with a virus.
