Breaking: Team announces veteran forward has suffered a major knee injury.

Some teams are getting some real bad news coming off the holiday break and foremost among those may be the Vancouver Canucks.

The Canucks have just announced that they have lost veteran forward Jannik Hansen for a period of four to six weeks after he suffered what the team has described as a knee injury.

Hansen was the victim of a knee on knee hit when the Canucks recently played the Winnipeg Jets, but he would stay in the game, and it was in that same game that he appeared to suffer the injury. I'ts unclear if the two incidents are related, but clearly fans in Vancouver aren't going to be happy about the fact that there was no discipline for that knee on knee hit.
