It sounds like the Montreal Canadiens are absolutely hell bent on bringing Tampa Bay Lightning forward Jonathan Drouin to Montreal.
While Montreal has reportedly been a player in talks since the trade demand was made, there has been a belief that Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman is reluctant to trade within his own conference. He may find that a lot harder after today.
According to a report from CTV's Brian Wilde the Canadiens are preparing a more significant offer than they have previously tabled in what Wilde has labelled a "huge push" to acquire the former first rounder.
Wilde has previously speculated that Montreal defenseman Nathan Beaulieu and a top prospect would be required to get Tampa Bay interested in a deal.
