One of the more interesting players rumored to be available has been yanked off the trading block.

Montreal Canadiens forward Lars Eller was rumored to be one of the more interesting non-rental options available at the trade deadline however it sounds like he has been pulled off the trading block and will not be dealt before the deadline has expired today.

According to multiple reports Eller's agent Kevin Epp has told French language Montreal Newspaper La Presse that his client has been informed he will not be traded today, although the Canadiens themselves have not made any such announcement.

It's one less option for teams looking for help at forward, and with several teams looking to add forward depth this is likely to drive up the price of players like non-rental Nazem Kadri and rentals like Mikkel Boedker.
