What a Terrible News for Berglund and the Blues

Earlier this season, the St. Louis Blues were talking contract extension with their 28-year-old center Patrik Berglund. They finally agreed with Berglund and he signed a five years deal at $19,5M.

So far, everyone is happy. Well, were happy...

As reported from NHL insider Dan Rosen the St. Louis Blues forward Patrick Berglund is expected to be out until December following surgery to repair his dislocated left shoulder, an injury he sustained training.

Patrik Berglund has been drafted by the St. Louis Blues on the 1 round (25th overall) of the 2006 draft. In 615 games played, he scored 145 goals and registered 141 assists for a total of 286 points. The Swedish player is a good two-way power forward that can bring a physical dimension to his game.
