Deal has been made official on Friday
It’s one of the craziest weeks in the NHL and it’s only the beginning until July 1st.
On Friday morning, the Pittsburgh Penguins have signed goaltender Filip Gustavsson 2016 2nd RD pick (55th overall) to a 3-year entry Level contract.
According to Cap-Friendly, he will have a $775,833 cap hit including the signing bonuses.
Scouting reports found on the Hockey Writers describe Gustavsson as a “prospect that numerous NHL teams would likely be interested in. That being said, he would likely be a few years away from making the jump to the NHL which will keep him out of the first round. Look for someone to take a chance on Gustavsson’s pure ability late in the second round or early to mid third round.”
