Red Wings have made a trade!

We have our second trade of the day to announce.

The Chicago Blackhawks have just announced the acquisition of Detroit Red Wings forward Thomas Jurco, going back to the Red Wings will be a 2017 third round draft choice from the Blackhawks.

Jurco has not been very productive for Detroit this season only appearing in 16 games for the team and recording no points over that stretch, while a third round pick may feel low, general manager Ken Holland did a decent job getting any return for a player who hasn't shown promise as of late.

The Red Wings have been expected to be sellers for the first time in a long time at the deadline, and this appears to be the first sign that they will be doing just that.

If you mist our report on the trade earlier today you can read that here.
