The Washington Capitals take on the Colorado Avalanche tonight in Denver, and they will do so without the services of one of their most promising young forwards.

Jakub Vrana, selected 13th overall in 2014, has 7 points in 19 games this season and simply hasn't been implicating himself enough in games. As head coach Barry Trotz described above, he's been more of a participant than anything - simply being satisfied with getting through his shifts instead of engaging more in the game.

Trotz went on to say that Vrana has gotten a bit too "comfortable", reinforcing the statement that Vrana hasn't been playing on his toes enough this year.
