The Boston Bruins are down two men at least for the short term.

Bruins insider Joe Haggerty is now reporting that both Tim Schaller and Ryan Spooner were absent from practice today, and as a result both men have been ruled out of Saturday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Spooner has been dealing with a concussion so this announcement comes as little surprise. However head coach Bruce Cassidy also added that Spooner could potentially miss Monday's game against the Canucks which is certainly a disappointment. Spooner is in the concussion protocol so the matter is out of their hands for now.

Schaller on the other hand is out with a "lower-body" injury and will be reassed after Saturday's game., which would appear to indicate the Bruins view him as more likely to play on their upcoming road trip.
